[T6] The US D-Day Beaches (Gp) – from PARIS (by train)

Tour Description

Full Day Group Tour of The American D-Day Sector

The Advantages of a Group Tour

→ This tour has been designed for daytrippers from Paris departing Paris St. Lazare Train Station at 07:06 (Mon-Fri] and returning to Paris from Bayeux on the 18:35 rail service. Please note that the train stops briefly in Caen just before arriving in Bayeux. We will be at the station to meet you at 09:16 and will return you to the station at 17:45, in plenty of time to catch the train.

→ Our small D-Day Group Tour is a great way to discover the landing sites of Normandy alongside like-minded fellow travellers, accompanied by a professional native English-speaker Guide.

→ All of the D-Day sites listed – as well as additional brief stops on our planned route – have been carefully chosen to include the major sites in The American D-Day landing sector. At major sites there is ample freetime to walk around and take photos and at brief stops – such as at Richard Winters Monument – we are not required to disembark.

→ You will have your own dedicated guide in a small semi-private group (max 8) throughout the entire duration of the group tour, who will go out of his / her way to make your day memorable and endeavour to answer your every question.

Travel in style, safely…

Our D-Day Group Tours are conducted in spacious 8-seat vehicles with air-conditioning front and rear, a fridge to keep your water chilled and onboard WiFi for all of your devices. Our Group Tour vehicles are also equipped with the latest in vehicle security & passenger safety technology.

Tour Schedule

The tour runs Monday to Friday throughout the Summer season (From April 2nd to October 31st).

*Note: During the Winter season (Nov 1st to March 31st) we propose a modified full-day Group Tour of the combined Allied Sectors but still visit La Pointe-du-Hoc, Omaha Beach & The American Cemetery in the afternoon; we start off in Arromanches – at the Mulberry Harbour – on Gold Beach during our morning half of that tour (NB: The itinerary below is for Summer season only).

The D-Day Sites you will visit on this tour

The American Sector: Angoville-au-Plain, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, Richard D. Winters Monument, Utah Beach, (March 2019 late addition: La Fière – ‘No Better Place To Die),  Sainte-Mère-Eglise & Airborne Museum (optional), Pointe-du-Hoc, Vierville (Saving Private Ryan film location) & Omaha Beach, Monument ‘Les Braves’ at Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer & more…
